While in Europe, Alice painted scenes from the German community where she lived. Also painted the Alps mountains in Italy, France, Switzerland and Austria where she traveled with the Heidelberg ski club. Several of the paintings took prizes in the USAREUR Europe wide contests. Friends asked Alice if she would sell her pictures.
